Monday, 28 August 2006: Survey outcomes boost newly listed copper company

Geological Survey results have confirmed the validity of targets identified in Copper Range’s April IPO prospectus.

Copper Range (ASX – CRJ) today announced results of gravity surveys in its Stuart Shelf tenements in South Australia.

Executive Director and Chief Geologist, Dr. Ken Maiden, says that the surveys have resulted in multiple targets for copper-gold deposits.

“The Stuart Shelf region has emerged as Australia’s pre-eminent copper-gold province. Gravity surveys are the most effective way of targeting the dense hematite associated with the copper-gold deposits of the region.

“The gravity surveys have revealed a larger than expected number of copper-gold targets.”

“These results confirm the attractiveness of the Stuart Shelf and follow on from the recent results at Carrapateena, to which we referred in the IPO Prospectus”

Copper Range’s share price has more than doubled since June.

The Company recently announced the appointment of renowned journalist Trevor Sykes to its Board. This is Trevor’s first listed company directorship since his retirement from journalism inDecember 2005.
