PIRSA carried out a regional gravity survey in the second half of 2007 on a 1.5 x 1.5 km grid, covering Copper Range's Torrens and Roxby North tenements.
During the PIRSA survey, Copper Range commissioned infill gravity surveys on a 750 x 750 m grid over anomalies identified within these tenements.
Results have indicated a number of promising targets within Torrens A,B,C and Murdie Island (see image). PIRSA approvals are being sought in order to further test these targets.
Anomalies in West Lake Torrens - Carrapateena East and Shore Hill will be subjected to detailed infill gravity surveys to define drilling targets (see image).
At Horse Well (EL 3959) in-fill surveys and regional interpretation have delineated a gravity high within a strong northwest structural corridor and in the vicinity of previous drilling by WMC yielding 16m @ 0.67% Cu. This is considered a potential sediment hosted target for drill testing.
Induced Polarisation (IP) Survey
An IP survey in the northern portion of EL 3452 (Pernatty C) delineated an anomaly, located 800 metres from a previous drill hole with 2m @ 8.3% Cu. This target is planned to be drilled tested in the second half of the year.
Drilling
In 2008, Copper Range has completed to date 3 diamond drill holes. Two holes were drilled on Pernatty “C” EL 3452 – PDD2 (Pepita C) and PDD3 (Pepita E) and the third hole was drilled within West Lake Torrens EL 3490 – WTDD1 (Kellie).
The core from all three holes is currently being assayed.
For the details on our latest exploration activities see the Copper Range Quarterly Report for March 2008.
